This has all the makings of a 2-1 game right now. Runs are going to be at a premium. I would have sent Villar on that Yelich double.

...or 1-0.

Dan Plesac says we are a very good defensive team. Not sure where he got that from.

Well, they're 1st in the MLB in UZR

2nd in the MLB in defensive efficiency.

Their OF is first in the MLB in OAA per statcast.

First in DRS.

Seems pretty good to me.

That play was awesome and funny at the same time... Suter is growing on me.... I hate to admit that lol

And boy Arcia gave that one a ride

Pretty bad when you’re most excited for the pitcher to hit when you get to the 6789 part of the order ..

Is it just me or is Pérez hot for maybe a few games and then cold for a month or two?

Nothing like facing the Brewers to get a pitcher back on track.

Duffy in his last start: 6IP, 0 Runs, 7K against.....the Astros. Clearly he is a talented pitcher that just has had a bad year on a bad team.

Nice approach from Villar in the leadoff spot today. Has punched a couple nice singles to center. I hope that continues.

I agree. Looked like he was even choking up in that last at bat to just make hard contact ... and then stealing second . Shows how singles and speed can be a weapon when you aren’t trying to hit it out every swing

Villar consistently has choked up all year and gone for a very heavy contact swing. This isn’t new and he definitely tries to just put it in play with two strikes.

For those watching, does more credit go to Broxton for the throw or criticism to Merrifield for trying to stretch it?

Both. I was hoping Merrifield would try to stretch it because before he even got to 1st base I knew he'd be a pretty easy out at 2nd.

That said, Broxton did a great job cutting it off and made a very strong throw to 2nd. It wasn't even close.

Suter with 70 pitches through 6 innings? Wow!

Great throw by Broxton, Villar finishing the play...

Can't discredit Merrifield for that hustle. Bang bang play that took a great throw to get him. Merrifield can fly! Would look GREAT in a Brewers uniform!
