Outta be interesting on defense tonight but it’s probably the best offense would could put out there.

I'm not too concerned with Cain, but I'm really surprised to see Shaw not on the DL. With how much pain he looked to be in yesterday, and how it had seemed to affect him for a while, resting that wrist seemed like a no-brainer. The lack of other good 3B options was perhaps a factor; Perez can play defensively but doesn't hit well; Aguilar has like 1 game there. Sogard is Sogard.

EDIT: Well, I guess I was concerned about the wrong one. Cain on the DL, Broxton recalled.

This lineup....

A possibly better one with no one on the DL...

Cain CF

Orf 2B

Shaw 1B

Santana RF

Phillips LF

Kratz C

Sogard 3B

Arcia SS

Uhh... what? No not possibly better.

Miller must be considered able to play 3B as well right? Would have thought they viewed PErez as a better SS than Miller on D, but I guess not. Maybe he just hasn't had the reps at 3B like he got in the minors at SS, and that's all it is. Basically I was just thinking if Shaw went on DL miller would likely get some 3B starts.

As others have pointed out, Miller is just fine at SS outside of one season.

You think they could leave Salvador Perez behind in Milwaukee when they leave? :)

The way he has been hitting recently, they might just leave him behind on purpose.

We have enough guys already that don’t get on base at least 30% of the time. ;)

Sophia gets a big thumbs up from me

obviously can nitpick stuff. But one thing I've noticed over the years is she never, or very close to never, has verbal tick things like 'um' 'ah' 'ya know' 'I mean'. By far the fewest I've ever noticed.
