2018-06-17: Phillies (Nola) at Brewers (Anderson) 1:10 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 10-9]

Eye Black
Seems like everytime we think Aguilar is crashing back to reality, he comes up with another huge hit.

His reality isn’t a bad thing. It’s just not what he was doing there for a bit. His last 28’days (.221/.291/.455/.745) are below what I would expect from him in terms of average and on base.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

CC trying to squeeze out one more inning out of a mediocre Anderson simply to try and clear the pitchers spot next time up. We've battled back way too much today for a decision like that. How many comebacks do you think this offense has?

You didnt notice jesus has 10 rbi in june and 32 since may 1....

I will take the .225 average lately.

He is still batting .286

Travis shaw is batting .189 the last 15 days.

Anyone wanna say he is coming down to reality

Its really getting too negative everytime when jesus has a bad 3 days, its the REAL jesus coming back...

Brewers continue to work behind in the count to guys hitting. 220 and below. Unbelievable how many times guys who can't hit are behind made better by being in hitters counts. Meanwhile the Arcia of the world are in an 0-2 hole every ab.

And yes, i know travis shaw has a 348 .OBP the last 15 days

I am not worried about either of them regressing

There just seems to be this group of people who

jump on aguilar everytime he slumps for 3 days

The guy has 41 rbs in 179 AB, and is still hitting .286

He will probably finish with 25-30 homers and 80-90 rbis

Would be pretty disappointing to lose this series and tie the season series vs. Philly with how much we've outscored them. Its all fun and laughs to erupt for 12-13 runs in 3 games but those 3 other close losses still all count for the same.

Exactly. They wasted 4 pitches to Frankel expecting him to swing and he didn't. After 2 balls maybe he's not going to swing at low and away balls, but nope, Pina calls for 2 more... So he walks.

Doesn't effect Jeffress' stats this game, but a reliever has to come in with 1 out and runners on 1st and 2nd you should be able to get out of the inning without crapping your pants...

With only one off day before the All Star break, the Brewers dependence on a perfect bullpen to pull out wins (on days when they don’t score 10 runs) is really going to be tested. It has been less than perfect over the last couple of weeks and now the top relievers (who have all had a few rocky outings themselves) are going to have to do more.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Good hit Manny. Last time would have been better, but we'll take it.

It would be nice if he actually did something when there were players on base, but I guess that's what he save the slow rollers to the 3B for...

Santana, Arcia and Pina all need time in the minors.... Like a lot...
