Rock "that doesn't miss by much"

No Rock, but it missed, and that's what matters. Schroeder is getting upset that the batter didn't swing at ball four on a bases loaded pitch.

It's one of the more annoying things about him and there are many.

Logan's splits are pretty darn good vs rh, abysmal vs lh. I guess I am having a hard time seeing value in having him on the team. In any case, CC using him today made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Disappointing, baffling, and there's no way to sugarcoat it...it was foolish.

From a fan's perspective, I agree. However, having been involved with collegiate programs there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes and a lot of the time there is a reason you may not know about as a fan for why they choose who they do. Craig Counsell isn't an idiot and if he makes a call, I'm sure there's some rationale behind it.

But yeah, Boone Logan has been disappointing so far. Hopefully he can pick it back up

The only thing he needs to pick up are his belongings from his locker.

Logan showed some life last night, and I think Counsell figured this was a way to spark Logan’s resurgence. If he gets out of that inning, maybe his confidence and effectiveness are back, which would be a great addition to the pen.

That said, I hated the move and think Logan is done as a Brewer. He may very well go on to have success again elsewhere, but every time he takes the mound he looks like even HE expects to blow it.

11 innings. Yet, Erik Kratz is totally fine with you because he's hit well for like 25 at-bats.

Logan has never been a good reliever, but he's not atrocious throughout his career.

Would Drake be Drake without counsell.... Is Logan a Drake because of Counsell... It appears that Counsell creates a bullpen disaster by putting players into roles they aren't suited...

At least Drake was basically only used in games that were already decided and had a Seinfeld reference to his name.

Logan is just ...awful. And Counsell can't seem to be convinced that he is.

:laughing What are you even talking about? I've barely ever said a word about Kratz and he's a backup catcher that barely moves the needle one way or another.

You admit 'Logan has never been a good reliever' yet you defend him in a pen full of good relievers. And 11 innings is a pretty good sample for a mediocre LOOGY to get DFAed, especially when you don't need a LOOGY. You don't give huge leashes to guys that were never that good in the first place. Ask Neftali Feliz or Tommy Milone.

Let’s get to the dugout and get some runs.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I said he's never been a good reliever. He's also never been a bad reliever minus a season or two throughout his career. Every bullpen needs one or two of those guys. You can't have an entire bullpen of Josh Hader's and JJ's. He's actually been a pretty consistent back-end reliever for a long time now.

BA with the “it’s easy to second guess when a move goes wrong” referring to CC’s decision to pitch Boone Logan. I don’t think it’s second guessing when everyone in the park knew how that was going to go before it happened.

He also said the move didn't work out today. If only it was just today.
