I assume Hader is available for one inning at most. so i think Ii'd start with Jeffress and go from there. If he mows them down and looks good let him go two. If the 9th has tough lefties (Rizzo) I go Hader over Knebel. Maybe Hader no matter what. If Jeffress can only do one, then Hader in the 8th if Rizzo is due. Otherwise save him for the 9th/Rizzo and use Knebel

Will almost certainly be Hader in the 8th and Knebel in the 9th.

How many of these lucky hits are the Cubs gonna get? Look horrible at the plate and barely make contact = perfectly placed infield single.

It is frustrating...but they are putting it in play, so that is good on them.

Yup, too many pitches for Jeffress no matter what. Next inning has L, Rizzo, then S. And Schwarber if anything happens. Clearly Hader time

I know this subject has been hashed out enough times it doesn't need to be repeated ... but it is noteworthy to me when I am listening to the game on the radio and my gut drops because I think Baez hit a homerun when he actually struck out because of Uecker's call.

"Here's the pitch.. swung on and hit... *loud cheer from the crowd* ... *too long of a pause*.. into the glove of Kratz ... foul tip and that will end the inning. "

His cadence is so off kilter these days.

Not in blue, this is a reality check. In this scenario, who was the option at this time last year? That's right, none other than our lefty specialist Drake.

I think you have Jeffress face Lastella and Hader after that. If you put in Hader to start the inning, they'll PH Bryant guaranteed. I like Jeffress vs Lastella over Hader vs Bryant to lead off the inning. Bryant surely gets an atbat today, but this way it will likely be against Knebel in the 9th.
