Somebody explain to me why Guerra was pulled after six? He'd given up one run, and had thrown only 72 pitches.

It has gotten a bit silly.

This should be explored after this game but of course the media will not do it's job. 72 The guy is trying to burn through his pen by the break. Last year means nothing I guess.

Hope the Crew aren’t in 3rd place by the end of this series.

When the strategy to lean on late inning bullpen aces to get you multiple innings doesn't work perfectly in a tight game, it looks really ugly and can have multiple game consequences.

Case in point - tonight. Guerra could've absolutely gotten another 3 outs. Instead they Brewers went through everyone in their pen and wound up with an ineffective Albers and Boone freaking Logan. And head into tomorrow with key relievers we already know won't be available.

The dominance in this rivalry by the Cubs is what will be putting them in first tonight. Just pitiful performances time and time again everytime we see the opposing Cubs jerseys.

Is the Cubs roster just player-to-player better? If not, then the mental or whatever issue that the Brewers are having need to be figured out. It is more than frustrating to see the results in the season series so far. It might end up not only costing the division, but a playoff spot period.

Brutal, brutal, brutal loss.

Picked a bad night for a blow-up from the otherwise steady Albers. The proverbial black hole at SS haunts yet again as Arcia just looks miserable at the dish.

Spin zone: you don't have to beat the Cubs to win the division.

So, a BS scoring call cheats Ryan Braun of his 200th stolen base. Nice.

It doesn't take Einstein to see Albers was useless after the first run was in. But instead of stopping the bleeding and maybe having a shot at tying it up/winning we just decide it's better to throw the game away. Frustrating.

As a former catcher, I disagree.

In a word yes. That said the cubs would never carry three guys who you cannot play at this point like the brewers are. Cubs treat every game like it is a big deal. Brewers are acting like no big deal if we carry some guys who can't play.

Jean Segura is second in the American League with a .340 batting average. Oh, the humanity.
