Should Villar bat RH full time?

The conventional wisdom after he struggled hitting RH in 2017 is that Villar is a better LH hitter than RH hitter. I contend the truth is just the opposite. In 2016, he posted a .930 OPS against LHP in nearly 200 PA. This year again, his numbers support my theory, .679 OPS vs. RHP, and .881 OPS vs. LHP. He struggled as a RH hitter last year but that sample size was quite small.

When I watch Villar hit from the RH side, I see a much more naturally powerful swing. It's obvious that RH is his natural side. When he hits LH, his swing looks forced. He has to contort to generate bat speed. Credit to him for being able to get hits from the left side and I know it's a lot easier to get infield hits from the left side hitting dribblers on the infield, and that's great if you are a leadoff hitter, but maybe it's time to look at Villar as a potential run producer now that he's hitting down in the order.

Now converting to a RH only has it's own set of challenges as he's only used to seeing breaking balls break towards him so I'm not suggesting a midseason switch. But maybe something that could be worked on in winter ball.
