2018 Brewers Strike Zone

According to a Jeff Sullivan piece published today, the Brewers have so far dealt with one of the most unfriendly strike zones in all of baseball. Framing and pitchers who love to work on the edge probably has something to do with that from a pitching perspective, but you would think the hitting numbers would even out.

Hope that is the case!

At least we know it's not just our IGT reactions talking.

Exactly.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Wasn't this proven true last year as well? After 2 years in a row and thousands of pitches, the sample size is big enough to know something is up. I'm not saying umps are intentionally screwing the Brewers over but the pitchers, catchers, or something is up that they aren't getting fair calls.

It's incredible isn't it? So frustrating to see how it changes the game.

There is a twitter account that posts all of the pitches that are close that go for or against the Brewers and it is constantly more hurting the Brewers than helping them.
