T-Rats golf outing - Payton Henry

The T-Rats put on a really nice golf outing yesterday at Shamrock Heights GC in New London. Payton Henry, C for T-Rats, was the 5th golfer in our group. He was incredibly gracious and really down to earth. I'm now a big fan of his and look forward to having my kids out there rooting for him (along with the rest of the T-Rats).

 

Funny moment - On one of the holes, there was a prize wheel. I spun and won a Ryan Braun T-Rats uniformed Bobble head. When Payton was awaiting his turn, I asked him if he was hoping the 'mystery prize' was an addition to the 40 man roster. He responded enthusiastically like it would be his dream coming true. It was a beautiful moment for me to see him imagining one of his goals being realized.

 

He's a nice young man who makes it easy to root for him.
