Winston-Salem 5, Carolina 1

Mudcats Swept in Winston-Salem

Ronnie Gideon hit a solo home run in Sunday's series finale loss to the Dash

cut.jpg

Ronnie Gideon's home run was one of only two hits for the Mudcats in this one. It also marked the return of Mario Feliciano, who DH'd and went 0-2 with a walk. Not sure what they're going to do with the catcher position. Presumably, Feliciano is the better prospect than McDowell and should get the lion's share of the catching. There is also Cooper Hummel to consider. Braden Webb struck out 8 men in six innings of work but also gave up 4 runs.

Ronnie Gideon 1-4, HR

Braden Webb 6 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 2 BB, 8 K
