Molina still letting his balls recover is a big hole for Cards. Don’t know much about Pena, but Molina killed us

I believe he's actually serving his game suspension today.

They said on the broadcast he will be out another month yet.

Oh ok, I just saw tweets on the Cardinals account this was his suspension game. I loved one tweet where they said it should've been the D-Backs manager who got suspended because, and I quote, "he started it".

I'd bet he has given up more hard contact as well.

Lowest exit velocity of any starter

Lowest entrance velocity as well

LOL! He still gives up an inordinate amount of hits either way. Having said that, he is doing a bang up job today. Cards bats seem very aggressive which is perfect for a guy like Suter. Maybe the Cards are feeling the pressure against us for a change.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Oh wow, didn't even see that. I just searched "Cardinals lineup" and that was at the top of the page. But you gotta admit that "he started it" tweet is pretty hilarious.

I can think of several Cardinals/ex-Cardinals. LaRussa would be at the top of my list.

He is right though that, while it's been nice we've been winning series' against non divisional teams the past two and a half weeks, if we continue to get owned by our divisional rivals, it's not going to make a whole lot of difference when it comes to being taken seriously as a playoff/championship contender.

Brewers are 5-1 against the Reds, split 3-3 against the Cards and are 1-2 vs. the Pirates. They've been fine against division teams not based out of Chicago.
