At some point they have to prove that they aren't completely intimidated by the likes of the Cubs and Cardinals. I'm not sure starting Suter is the way to start that trend.
but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

What has Suter done of late that warrants this post? I’m not a huge Suter SP fan but he’s done his job.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Now that's a lineup I can get behind. Braun's in the lineup against a righty but at least he's down to fifth where he should be for the immediate future.

Yep, ride out Aguilar as long as we can. If/when he comes back to earth, adjustments can be made.

The rotation order is what it is. They're not going to mess with it just so Suter doesn't start today.

Suter is like the fat handyman you call when you need something done around the house. Sure he's cheap and does a decent job, but the low rider pants and the ubiquitous ass crack showing make you want to avert your eyes while he's doing his job...

Who would you have started today?

I don't think he's suggesting they start someone else because it's just not feasible. I think he just means that he wishes it were someone else's turn in the rotation to start out the series against a team who has owned us pretty much since we bacame a National League team that we have to start beating consistently if we are to be taken seriously as a playoff caliber team. But I don't want to speak for him.

He is right though that, while it's been nice we've been winning series' against non divisional teams the past two and a half weeks, if we continue to get owned by our divisional rivals, it's not going to make a whole lot of difference when it comes to being taken seriously as a playoff/championship contender.

Nice to see Braun dropped in the order. Aguilar has certainly earned being higher than him.
Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Oh and we are totally due for a bad series, I get that. I just really really don't want it to come in THIS series.

exactly.

without taking the series -at least-, it will be hard to shake the "there will be course corrections coming" thoughts... and as much confidence as this team may have... if we can't beat the Cards and Cubs (and even Pirates)... how far can we actually go this year?

its time for a statement series!! lesssgooooo.

Stay away from long losing streaks everything will be just fine.

God, I hate this moron.

I don’t care for him but I don’t think he’s wrong. Aguilar is not good defensively.

Not only hasn't he been laugh out loud bad, he's been pretty darn good. Don't know what you're looking at.
