Villar's K rate is getting kind of ridiculous for a player who hits for almost no power. Over 30% last year and this year. Usually when you get to the guys over 30% you're at least getting some pop in return.

 

Yeah for sure on the 2B and SS but I don't think you could C is such a minus when Pina is playing ...

 

I said it's a loaded lineup until you get to there. Pina is definitely a hole in the lineup, just not defensively.

Another thing about it is just rhythm and reps for other guys. You try to make Braun a regular and he gets hurt again. Then the guy who should have been a regular all along is a little rusty. Braun does better with more time off because his body needs it so bad, but most guys will generally be worse the more you sit them.

 

Nice to see Santana and Villar get in on the action. Sweet rally with 2 outs.
