Hm. Lineup changes don't make all that much difference, but I thought it was pretty well-established that #3 should not be your best hitter, especially if that hitter has a great OBP (#1 is where that's most important) and isn't really a slugger anyway. Combine that with Cain's speed, and I see no reason he should not be leading off.

Would’ve made more sense.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Maybe this doesn’t matter either, but it seems a little strange having Cain hit behind a much slower player that is likely to get on-base. I would have been more on board with placing Ji-Man Choi in the #3 spot.

does braun come back thursday or friday

Who cares??

(Nothing against you; just like seeing younger players get those ab's.)

So we know when to brace ourselves.

I would have just put Domingo 3.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Random observation here, Eric Thames suffered his thumb injury 4 weeks ago today. I believe he had the surgery later in that week, so I assume he isn’t quite to the 4 week mark in terms of recovery time just yet, but it is nice to know he is likely past the half way point toward his return.
