Charlotte breaks Torontos heart with a half court buzzer beater pushing them 4 back with 8 to go. Basically only a complete collapse keeps us from the 1 seed.

Take care of business at home vs Rockets and Clippers this week and everyone will call off the dogs. Really Toronto may be there already, I think everyone at the top of the east will want to rest up for the playoffs.

Trailblazers center Jusuf Nurkic had a devastating leg injury in their game this evening. Nurkic went up for a rebound and landed awkwardly, snapping his shin. The audio of his shin snapping can be clearly heard on the tv broadcast. Hate to see that happen to any player. Hopefully he will be able to fully recover and continue his basketball career. He is one of the great young talents in the game. Get well Nurkic.

Kind of reminded me of the Bogut injury.

The ref that steps over him and casually kicks the foot on his clearly broken leg should be fined 5 bajillion dollars, and then fired. Unbelievable....

Every single player just "noped" and walked away. It was that bad.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw the ref step over him and kick the foot on his broken leg. My only guess is that the ref was in shock and was trying to not look at it and walk past him, but didn’t move over far enough. Either way, I agree. There’s no excuse for the ref walking into Nurkic’s clearly broken leg.

Great to see them playing good ball on both ends of the court again. Even without Brogdon/ Mirotic. I was getting a bit concerned for a couple weeks there before/after Brogdon injury, they were still winning some games but not playing near their best basketball. I feel better after the last few games. If Middleton can get hot come playoff time, look out.

George Hill is really underrated. He is exactly what they need on that 2nd unit.

First round match up will be interesting to watch play out over the end of the regular season. Right now they would have Orlando, who I think is a much worse match up than either Detroit or Miami. The Magic are quite a bit improved talent wise over the first half version.

The difference between him and all the other bench guards (Patty C, DDV, Sterling Brown) is pretty steep, especially on the defensive end.

Hill almost looks like he isn't trying hard and doesn't make the ridiculous plays like those 3, but he never makes a misstep and he's always in the right place. Just always perfectly under control.

I don't agree. I think Brown is better on defense, he was all over Chris Paul last night. Pretty impressive for a guy with his body to be able to stay in front of Paul and be in his face as soon as he crossed mid-court. Both Brown and PC have a better overall game than Hill. They can score, rebound, offer a lot with their athleticism. That's not a knock on Hill, as Homer said he's a perfect fit coming off the bench. Just does what he needs to do, nothing more nothing less.

I might be a little naive but no one in the east really scares me except Philly.

Really not worried about Toronto with Kawhi? They have a really deep team that can play tons of matchups. Assuming Brogdon comes back fine (or at least Hill is healthy and playing as well as he is now) I'm still confident and would pick MKE. But Tor is really good as well.

Not in a 7 game series, no.

Fully healthy I would agree, but missing some pieces you just never know. Maybe just lack of success from the Bucks in the playoffs in my life span, but I just am preparing for a disappointment come post-season.

Yea, until the Bucks (or Brewers) win it all I will be nervous about every series. That said, I agree Philly worries me the most. Playoff experience, coaching, home court, style of play, etc., many things come into play. But in the NBA, #1 by far is talent- and Philly has the most talent.

I should never feel leery when the Bucks beat the rockets by 14 points, but Middleton taking 23 shots to score 13 is not good. Luckily everyone else's shots were falling. I know the philosophy when guys are missing is to just keep shooting and eventually they'll fall but six for 23 is a horrible night

Mids had a 10 game stretch before last night where he was great. Hopefully it was a one off.

Yea Middleton was shooting just fine until last night. It's not the shots not falling that concerns me. Come playoff time, the tendency is to slow down, and that's a killer for the Bucks. Coach Bud will need to do everything he can to get them to keep playing the way that got them here. Otherwise we're going to see a lot of Middleton fade aways with the shot clock winding down.

I'm good with any of the 3. If we can't beat the Pistons, Heat or Magic in a 7 game series with 4 being at Fiserv, we certainly aren't going anywhere.

They definitely have the most talented starting 5...and in a playoff series, you're fine asking your stars to go 44 minutes a game.

Toronto though is a much better looking team in my opinion than in years past, not only with Kawhi, but with the young 4 who has emerged this year, Siakam(sp?). I'd be really excited if he was a Buck as he is long, he looks like he can created his shot, play the 3 or 4 and can shoot the 3 and defend. Then add Gasol, one of the leagues best defensive big men, and it's best passing big man for a long stretch.

Bigs still concern me given what Horford did to us last year. He seemed to come up with an offensive board(which Gasol is very good at) at the worst possible times and be able to play with his back to the basket and get a good shot off when they really needed a score. I know Lopez has been blocking shots, but can he really be relied upon to play those guys down low?

Obviously offensively we can run them off the court, but it could present some problems defensively.

Of course after the Bucks brilliant game plan vs Houston, if they can get healthy, I feel good about this team with coach Bud leading them.

Depends who the big is. Gasol, for example, would be a good match-up for Brook. he can bang with him in the paint, and tough for Gasol to hang with Brook on the other side of the court. Horford, I can see Wilson guarding him more often- even Irsan. I think they actually have more options this year to guard bigs with those 3 guys, then there's Giannis of course.

Give me Brooklyn in the first round. I can walk to their arena.

George Hill is terrific. More important to know what you're doing than it is to be more young and dynamic. Especially when you're a supporting cast player on a contender. Pick up his option, pay the tax, and be the best team in the league again next year.

I think they'll pay Hill the $1million to buy out his last year and then try and resign him.
