Braun has been a bit unlucky too

The exit velo on liners and fly balls is impressive too. Ranked 25th in almost 400 hitters. I still think pitch selection needs to improve but this is nice to see. Might be a big reason why Counsell hasn’t panicked with him hitting in the 3-hole.

Also, Goldschmidt will be just fine too.

Same stuff was true last year too, he had some of the best line drive, exit velocity stuff of his whole career. Until he fell off the last month with whatever injury it was.

Aside from yesterday he's passed the eye test of late. Has cut out down the chasing low outside sliders. Still one of the guys who pops up the least. Would like to see some of it translate to hits on the field though. Like, he 'should' be ok as the season goes on but at some point it needs to happen.

Any bets on which (if any) Brewers reliever will use the Diamondbacks bullpen cart during this series? I don’t believe any Diamondbacks relievers have used the bullpen cart this year, but a couple of visiting team relievers have used it recently.

Edit: Here is the Article Link of Sean Doolittle using the bullpen cart.

Bob Wickman would’ve pitched two more years.

Not sure why you wouldn’t use the cart. I mean, it’s hilarious.

Nice job done there by Guerra. Good start. Let’s get some runs.

I think it’s still too early for the Cubs to be overly concerned about their rotation, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t at least enjoy seeing some doubt starting to set in...

@BleacherNation"]So, how are we feeling tonight, Cubs fans?

Me? I feel pretty chill about the loss, but I think the concerns about Quintana - underscored in today’s game - are going to be tougher to just shake off.

Velo drop + loss of command through 6+ weeks is unsettling.

@BleacherNation"]Combined w/real concerns about Lester’s peripherals and Darvish’s loss of command & movement (so far), and there are legit reasons to be worried about the rotation.

It’s far from *panic* situation - these are good, established pitchers who can adjust - but concern is warranted.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

whats with all the hate for perez. he is up to.265. are we demanding he hit .300 as a utility player...lol

His average has never been an issue. While we all want to see him hit .300, it is the fact that he rarer gets on base above that number that is the problem. It has held him out of a starting role his entire career and rightfully so.

I bet Corbin is hurt. FB topping out at 89mph. Averaged 92 last year.

The hate is he has a sub .300 obp and is on pace for 300+ PAs
