Hopefully, we are catching this team at the right time and we can continue pushing them on their losing ways.

Fangraphs had an article last week about how Corbin's velocity has been noticeably down over his last two starts, though the results haven't necessarily suffered commensurately. Will be interesting to see where he is sitting today & if it is something the Brewers can capitalize on.

"He did strike out nine in his last start, a season high for a Brewers pitcher."

I know that these are probably canned blurbs done in advance, but considering Peralta was the talk of MLB 18 hours ago, it's kind of funny.

He should've been, but unfortunately the national media is still drooling over Shohei Ohtani. Never mind Peralta had a better line than him.

Just saw Braun is hitting 3rd again with Yelich getting the night off. Apparently he and Cain need the rest more than Braun.

Not that I ever want to see Yelich out of the lineup, but having the flexibility to use him as a late inning LH hitter off the bench in a big situation isn't awful either.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

I really dislike these late starts. Impossible to stay up and watch the entire game when I have to be up at 5:40 to get ready for work.

Oh woe is me.

Villar looked fine at the plate yesterday. He hit righty late in the game and hit a rocket to the track in RF.

I just don't get it. And I'm still baffled that nobody has asked CC about it. Not that I expect much more from our crappy media here.

He will square one up occasionally, but it’s definitely his weaker side. I don’t mind Pérez starting against a lefty tonight. He’s been swinging it ok as of late.

Partly just want to see Villar moved so he can get on with his career and probably be more productive for someone else.

Counsell appears to be trying to establish Perez as the primary 2B. I agree that if they aren't going to play Villar, they should probably just deal him ... although I doubt his value around the league is very high. I bet if he was DFA'd, though, some team would be happy to snap him up.

yeah, you'd think if they were trying to move him, they would at least showcase him against right handed pitchers.

It's just so odd that CC has completely abandoned him.

Braun scratched with mid back tightness.

Aguilar now at first hitting 3rd.

What a train wreck these next couple of years might be with Braun...

Every time I think of the 2016 August trade deadline, I think of the Kenny Rogers song "The Gambler."

So it looks like Perez moves to left for Braun, and Villar will be playing 2B.

I wonder if Villar goes 3 for 4, with a couple of stolen bases, if that would buy him some playing time in the future.
