Love it. Quite a bit of "recency effect" when people think of Lohse, as his disastrous age 36 season overshadowed a combined 5.1 bWAR/4.6 fWAR over his first two seasons with the Brewers. Final tally of 3.8 bWAR/4.4 fWAR in his three seasons in Milwaukee, so call it a total of 4.0 WAR over his three seasons and at an estimated $8M/free agent WAR he pretty much pitched to the value of his contract.

 

(2015 was kind of a lost year anyway, so who cares - his parting gift was helping the Brewers get a better draft pick position which may have contributed to what could be one of their best drafts - Ray, Erceg, Feliciano, Webb, Burnes, Z. Brown, P. Henry in the first six rounds. There's talent there.)

He did. He had a couple games in AAA Omaha and that was enough to tell him it was time to call it a career.
