They're having crazy similar seasons. Both still bat high in the order, both hitting for good power, neither guy worth a damn at getting on base.

Microcosm of the season right there. Cain and Yelich do their part, Braun blows it, Shaw and Aguilar (or Thames) do their part, bottom of the order blows it. Stars and scrubs doesn't work in baseball.

 

Still blame the players more than the front office but would like to see more balance.

Edit: Having their starter at 65 pitches through the 3rd inning is really nice. Hopefully, we can get to that pen early and often and create that advantage in this series.

Nah, with runners at the corners, they would have tried some sort of contact play or double steal that would have blown up in their face. Never underestimate the many ways the Brewers can kill a scoring opportunity.
