Segovia

Perhaps, but his batting average is also still north of .300. I'm starting to get rather curious how much helium he will get. Hitting well in the Carolina league at 21 is the stuff of real prospects.

The problem is defensively - if he is limited to LF, you have to be an elite hitter at the major league level or an elite defender and an average hitter. Still a small sample this year, but an .838 OPS in low-A ball doesn't project to a major league starting LF unless he is a plus defender.

with that ability to hit for 342 singles in the minor leagues, it will be easy to play in the big leagues, there is no other with that ability in the organization, there is no power in the arm, that we are clear, but the games are won by batting of woah solvdd. evolution of 2 years and we'll talk

Free your mind, man.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

to see my forum people a question and we open the forum because joantgel segovia is not among the top 25 of the organization since they saw their numbers 2018 season

we are clear lack power, but hitting for averaje has average speed has discipline in the plate, arm not in the average, but look at the numbers I think there is no player in the organization with his ability to hit, plus low percentage of strikeouts. let's open the forum I hope

Reminds me of Ben Hendrickson’s dad type hyping (without the debating) how good his son is. Segovia is solid, can hit, flashed little more power than he has in past. Think there are good amount of guys still ahead of him with another wave developing behind. Will have to do more next year in Carolina even with tough hitter league
