Segovia continues to rake. Three more hits today. 2nd highest average in midwest league.

Corbin Burnes is glad to be pitching outside of Colorado Springs. 7IP 0BB 13Ks today against a pretty good Oklahoma City team (21 - 6 before today)

Dylan Moore making a strong statement for best minor league FA signing of the winter. Teammate Jake Hager wasn't bad either.

I was just looking at him. Plays all over the place in addition to hitting .370+ If Brewers do something about 2B he should be considered for a promotion. He's 25 already - gotta see what he can do.

I'm not sure about MLB, but perhaps AAA. He is interesting... the wheels fell off last year in his first year at AA, but was 820 and 830 OPS the years previous. Plus, his OBP leads BA by 100 pts.

Mudcats Allow Nine Extra-Base Hits in 9-3 Loss to Wood Ducks

Check Leblanc went 4-for-4 while leading Down East to the 9-3 win in Sunday's series finale

Not much went right in this game. Start with only 1 inning from Nathan Kirby. Poor control today and those pitches which caught the plate were generally hammered by the Wood Ducks. He seemed to visibly up his tempo when Milacki came out but still he's only getting low 90's even on the fast stadium radar gun. At some point he will have to air it out rehab or no. Daniel Brown went the last 2 1/3 innings without giving up a run. Dallas Carroll and Luis Aviles Jr. each had two hits.

Yeah I meant promote him to AAA assuming someone from there moves up to majors.

Orf has now hit in 17 straight games and 21 of his last 22.

Kyle Wren's 9 game hitting streak was broken two day ago, but has reached base in every single game he's played this year and now sports a .417 OBP.

Hiding in the shadows of Segovia's hot start is a very good start to the season for Orimoloye.

Segovia has always had elite hit tool, just nice to see some extra base hits starting to role in a bit.

Burns was fantastic! He really needed that bounce back!

Final: Oklahoma City 3, Colorado Springs 2

Summary isn't online yet, but we ontained a copy for you --

BURNES FANS 13 YET DODGERS REMAIN UNDEFEATED AT HOME

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Sky Sox dropped their third straight game 3-2 on Sunday afternoon against the Dodgers at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. Sky Sox starter and Brewers number two-ranked prospect Corbin Burnes struck out 13 Oklahoma batters in a brilliant performance, but the Dodgers remain perfect at 15-0 at home after a late comeback that saw them score two runs in the eighth inning to seal the victory.

Nate Orf, who came into today's game with a 16 game hitting streak, extended that streak to 17 games with a leadoff single in the first at-bat of today's contest. Orf was also able to steal second for his eighth swipe of the season, but the next three Sky Sox batters were all retired as Colorado Springs was unable to capitalize on the leadoff hit.

The home team struck first in the bottom of the first, as Jake Peter homered to center on the first pitch he saw in the first at-bat for the Dodgers to give Oklahoma City a 1-0 lead. The leadoff homer by Peter was the fifth time an Oklahoma City player has hit a lead-off homer to start a game against the Sky Sox.

Ji-Man Choi answered in kind in the top half of the second frame, homering on the first pitch he saw to even the game at one run apiece.

In the top of the third inning Kyle Wren drew a walk with two outs, then stole second to move into scoring position. Tyrone Taylor singled to score Wren and give Colorado Springs a 2-1 lead.

The game remained scoreless from them on as both starters settled in for a pitcher's duel. Justin DeFratus pitched up through the seventh inning for Oklahoma City, allowing six hits in total with six strikeouts and just one walk.

Burnes also pitched all the way through the first seven innings for Colorado Springs, giving up no more runs after the first pitch he threw that Peter took deep. Burnes only gave up three more hits after that, issuing no free passes and striking out 13 Dodgers batters. Burnes is only the fourth Sky Sox pitcher in team history to record 13 or more strikeouts in a game.

Colorado Springs still held a 2-1 lead going into the bottom of the eighth, when Burnes was replaced on the mound for the Sky Sox by Radhames Liz. Mike Ahmed hit a leadoff double off Liz, then Liz gave up a walk to pinch-hitter Rob Segedin to put two on. A wild pitch advanced both runners up 90 feet, before Peter grounded out to score Ahmed for his second RBI of the day, tying the game up at 2-2. In the next at-bat Donovan Solano singled to score Segedin and put the Dodgers up 3-2, which would prove to be enough to seal the game for the Dodgers third win in a row in this series.

Tomorrow's final game against Oklahoma City is scheduled for 11:05 AM Central at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Sky Sox return to Security Service Field for an eight-game, nine-day homestand on May 12 where they will host the Oklahoma City Dodgers and Memphis Redbirds. For all information on Sky Sox, follow along on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and visit the team's website at www.skysox.com.

NOTES:

Tomorrow's Expectation: In the final game of the four-game series against the Dodgers, the Sky Sox are sending right-hander Freddy Peralta to the mound to face righty Tyler Pill for the Dodgers.

Home Field Advantage: With the win Sunday afternoon the Dodgers improve to a perfect 15-0 at home in Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Burnes' Baker's Dozen: After striking out 13 on Sunday, Corbin Burnes becomes only the fourth Sky Sox pitcher in team history to record 13 or more strikeouts in a game. Burnes ties Edwar Cabrera and the late Mark Brownson as the other two pitchers with 13 strikeouts in a game. The single game record is held by John Thomson, with 14 strikeouts. The Sky Sox home record is 12 K, by Nate Minchey, vs. Tucson Sidewinders, June 4th, 1997 (12 K in 9 IP) [CG], and by Mike Saipe, vs. Vancouver Canadians, May 15th, 1998 (12 K in 9 IP) [CG].)

Low Hits: The Sky Sox tied for a season low in hits (4) on Saturday which was set on April 7 in game two of a doubleheader in Omaha. The four hits were totaled throughout the third, fifth, and sixth innings. The only multi-hit inning for the Sky Sox came in the third inning with back-to-back two-out singles to load the bases.

Orf Trending: Nate Orf has a 17-game streak, which was continued Sunday afternoon. In 17 games, Orf has gone 29-for-65 with 14 runs, 13 RBI, and four stolen bases. His longest streak last season was nine games.

Always On: Kyle Wren has reached base safely in all 15 games with the Sky Sox this season, though ending his hit streak at nine games after going hitless Saturday. The West Palm Beach, FL native is batting .353 (18-for-48) with 10 runs, 3 doubles, a triple, 11 RBI, and six walks this season. Wren's single on Friday night was his 319th regular season hit with the Sky Sox, passing Jim Tatum for sole possession of 14th place on the Sky Sox all-time hits list, and could move up several spots during this road trip. The single also marked his 248th regular season single with the Sky Sox, passing Jason Bates for sole possession of sixth place on the all-time singles list.

Swipin' Bagsss: The three stolen bases Friday night by Mauricio Dubon ties the Sky Sox record for stolen bases in a road game, done five other times. The other five: Reggie Taylor, July 27th, 1991 at Las Vegas, Wayne Kirby, May 9th, 1992 at Phoenix, Trenidad Hubbard, June 19th, 1995 at Vancouver (Game 1 of DH), Eric Young, Jr., July 28th, 2010 at Sacramento, Orlando Arcia, April 26th, 2016 at Omaha. The club record for stolen bases in a game is four, done three times, all at home in Colorado Springs (Jeff Huson, August 30th, 1996, home vs. Albuquerque; Luis Sardiñas, May 1st, 2015, home vs. Omaha; Kyle Wren, July 4th, 2017, home vs. Nashville.)
