it was reported that orlando arcia would be placed on the paternity list. with september roster expansion, the only reason to place him on the paternity list would be to recall a player who has yet to meet the 10-day requisite stay on optional assignment. devin williams was optioned 31 august, so he could be recalled a day early.

 

but yes, the brewers currently have no depth at third, short and second beyond three healthy starters at those positions. that's why i'm advocating for selecting the contract of nate orf.
