Just no reason for Sogard to be starting at shortstop. None.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

CC's blatant man love for Sogard has to end. Arcia not playing today can cost us this game pretty easily.

If CC is the reason that Sogard was brought back hopefully this is lesson enough for him to leave the personnel decisions to Stearns in the future.

that looked like ball four but who knows with this ump

Perez can join Sogard in the unemployment line. Both of these guys just completely suck.

Kick both of them to the curb and promote Dubon and Phillips and your bench improves immensely and Dubon is your new utility guy and Counsell won't be able to get the hankering every other day to start Sogard and Perez.

I'm speaking partially on emotion because I'm ticked, but I definitely am ready for Sogard to go. If you're going to carry him on the roster he deserves the Rule 5 treatment of being used only when absolutely necessary, and if Counsell can't use him like that he needs to go.

I'm just ticked because this was supposed to be the year of the awesome bench depth, with no Nick Franklins on our roster, and yet here we are with 2 of them on the roster.

I agree. I can't for the life of me figure out why Phillips didn't make the final roster. I know they were congested in the outfield but he provides much more than Sogard and Perez do.

Morrow has been less than perfect so far this season...
