Jonathan Schoop

Well, with the Moustakas trade, unless Shaw is also dealt then I think it's safe to call talk on trading for Schoop dead...

Schoop is RH. This is all about getting another bat vs LH pitching.

Yes, just came here to post this. As long as the price isn't too great for a platoon type player he would go a long way to balancing the lineup against lefties.

I don't know if I like this, you'd think Shaw would have to be on the move in such a deal and I'd rather keep him over Schoop. If they keep Shaw and get Schoop different story. Still a little confusing though.

I give up on trying to understand what the Brewers are doing. I get that they missed out on pitching so they went after a bat but a second baseman is odd.

On the surface, getting Schoop does seem odd. However, could it be a way to have a solid platoon partner for Shaw at 2B? And/or is it a way to upgrade from Villar/Perez? Can Schoop play SS? Just random thoughts as I try to understand the Brewers thought process.
