The Ryan Braun Milestone Thread

Braun is now 6th in runs scored, with 650, and he is 7th in triples, with 32. Braun just passed Rickie Weeks in both stats, so it's possible they could flip back in the other direction, but for the moment, that's where Braun sits.

Braun's next triple will tie him with both Corey Hart and Cecil Cooper.

With his two RBI's in tonight's game, Braun is now tied for fourth on the franchise's all-time list with Geoff Jenkins at 704. Kind of cool to see him climb up these lists on such a regular basis.

Braun now in sole possession of 4th all time with 707 RBI. Next up Molitor with 790 - could certainly be in range this season. Also closing in on second on the HR list, up to 219 now - 11 behind Prince.

That's incredible that he's so close to those two, and he's only 30 years old.

Maybe we should start the pool now for which franchise records Braun will finish with and which will remain in Yount's hands? Yount will certainly keep the hit crown (barring an absolutely amazing run on the back half of Braun's contract).

If he stays in the 2 spot in the lineup, I think 83 RBI in just over 100 games (especially with Braunie's injuries this year) is going to be a tall task. Not out of range, but would be a mean feat, for sure.

Brewers are talking about hitting the pitcher 8th which might help Braun's RBI numbers if he stays at #2.

Hitting the pitcher 8th is absolutely stupid. Also, the 8th hitter is usually someone like Overbay, so....... I don't know how much that would actually help Braun.

Meh. I don't think lineup matters much other than the first time around.

Ryan Braun's next extra base hit will be the 500th of his career.

Of course, Robin Yount leads the Brewers in this category, too, with 960 in his career.

My bad, Braun's home run was his 500th career extra base hit.

With his walk and SB in the first inning tonight at Citi Field, Braun surpassed Geoff Jenkins to move into fourth all time in total bases with 2189. The stolen base also put him into a tie with Tommy Harper for fourth all time with 136.

Well, it has been awhile for this thread. On a rare positive note to the 2015 season, Braun's solo HR in the 9th last night has now placed him alone in second place on the Brewers all-time HR list at 231. He is now one up on Prince Fielder and is behind only Robin Yount who has 251.
