Braun's 7 RBIs today pushed him past Ben Oglivie, into 5th in franchise history, with 688.

Braun is now 6th in runs scored, with 650, and he is 7th in triples, with 32. Braun just passed Rickie Weeks in both stats, so it's possible they could flip back in the other direction, but for the moment, that's where Braun sits.

 

Braun's next triple will tie him with both Corey Hart and Cecil Cooper.

That's incredible that he's so close to those two, and he's only 30 years old.

Maybe we should start the pool now for which franchise records Braun will finish with and which will remain in Yount's hands? Yount will certainly keep the hit crown (barring an absolutely amazing run on the back half of Braun's contract).

If he stays in the 2 spot in the lineup, I think 83 RBI in just over 100 games (especially with Braunie's injuries this year) is going to be a tall task. Not out of range, but would be a mean feat, for sure.

I Don't think the line up order has anything to do with their hot hitting. It has more to do with the bad pitching. Braun should be batting 3rd

With his walk and SB in the first inning tonight at Citi Field, Braun surpassed Geoff Jenkins to move into fourth all time in total bases with 2189. The stolen base also put him into a tie with Tommy Harper for fourth all time with 136.

Well, it has been awhile for this thread. On a rare positive note to the 2015 season, Braun's solo HR in the 9th last night has now placed him alone in second place on the Brewers all-time HR list at 231. He is now one up on Prince Fielder and is behind only Robin Yount who has 251.

I was thinking before the start of last year that he would pass Robin in 2014. Now I'm not sure if he'll do it by 2015.

Last night Braun tied Paul Molitor for third in the Brewers all time RBI with 790. Cooper is second with 944.
