Nice job Davies to work out of it. Where Yelich was position, I'm not sure he could have played that any better. He just needed to not bobble the ball once he got it. Maybe Cain makes that play, or maybe it's just a double either way. Yelich was in and shaded to LF and that was a line drive.

That fly ball that Yelich just caught had me thinking we had three guys headed for the "day to day list" ... Nice catch nonetheless

SAME! I looked the other way and didn't see it until the replay.

Geez, one play and I already have to say something negative about Yelich.

Cain probably makes that catch look easy.

Maybe, however, Cain hasn't made many 'tough' plays yet this year either.

^ This. Cain has looked old to me, not like a guy with another 4 years to play on his contract, that's for sure. His contract is going to bite us, watch and see.

That seems overly harsh for a guy 18 games into a 5-year deal.

Still not sure how Arcia can hit with his backfoot headed towards the third base dugout.

Arcia looks like he can't keep the back foot on the ground because the bat is too heavy for his tiny arms.

I think he's trying to shift his body to send balls to right field. I'm not mechanics expert, far from it, but it doesn't seem to be working.

How so? He has looked old, like he is wincing most of the time. I don't know if this is just his "way" but he doesn't move like I expected, and outside of his hot start, he hasn't looked good in the field or at bat.

Plenty of time to change my mind, but as of now, I'm not quite sure he is going to be half the player we thought we were getting.

Someone needs to tell Arcia to keep his back foot on the ground when he swings. Three years in and he's changed nothing and continues to suck with the bat.

Seems like something the hitting coach probably should be noticing.

I like Cain's at bats, a lot. He makes contact, gets on base, works counts. I have zero complaints about his offense. For 2018-2020 he will likely be good enough in CF, and thus a plus value. That alone, to me, makes his 5 year deal worth it. Anything you get in years 4 & 5 are a bonus.

Seems like something that should have been dealt with before he got to Milwaukee.

I think Cain has a pretty good approach at the plate and am confident in him offensively.

I'm a little worried about his movement so far (lots of grimaces and hops, as I noted somewhere before), though maybe that's a function of just having a banged up quad. Not saying he won't be worth the contract over its life, but I am concerned about years 4 and 5 for sure. He also hasn't been incredibly durable in his career, though last year he managed to play 155 games.

Cain's metrics are being brought down by his defense in the early going but I'm guessing that'll get ironed out throughout the year. I think his wRC+ so far this year is like 110 which is pretty close to what you'd expect from him.

He hasn't wowed me thus far other than that first series, but I feel like he'll hold up his part of a healthy lineup. Not sure he was ever the guy you wanted a team to rely on offensively though.
