Strength and Conditioning

In the old days guys took "greenies" to give them a lift.

But there's still some guys that go out there every day and perform. Joey Votto played in all 162 games last year at age 33. The prior two years, he played 158 games. Molina's playing virtually every day at age 35 at the most physically demanding position on the field.

A few guys on the Brewers always seem to be able to be counted on but Braun, even with all the off days built in isn't one of them and neither is Thames, who I myself witnessed this spring jogging to first base, either to preserve himself or because he was already sore and those are two big bats they need in the middle of the lineup almost every day.
