Very warm here in NYC today. Think the bats come alive in a big way against the LHP.

I'm buying the Mets' success if they stay healthy though. They're this year's Diamondbacks. Talented team with a potentially terrific staff coming back from a Murphy's law year.

The write-up for Davies is wrong. He gave up 1 run in 6 innings against the Cubs his last time out.

Good catch. We are using the blurbs from MLB.com's game previews, and unfortunately it isn't the first time I have noticed a mistake. We will keep using them, but hopefully their attention to detail improves.

Hopefully Cain & Piña are healed up enough to not only play but also be valuable contributors. The Mets have been playing great so far this year but are down 2 catchers. Should be an interesting series

I would really like to get a pitcher like Matz..... SP, fairly young, controlled, lefty. He would be a good get, but we'd have to give up too much probably. Do the Mets need another OF or two?

The Mets have as many OF as us. Also Matz is exactly why pitching prospects can be so frustrating, shown glimpses of being good but also a lot of injuries. They’re fickle creatures.

Anyone know our ground ball percentage as a team? Seems like we are beating it into the ground a lot this year so far.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
