I didn't say Top 100 Prospect, I said highly-regarded prospect. He was ranked #6 in our organization in 2012. That's highly-regarded. Not sure why everyone is so down on Gennett, he broke out last year and the Brewers would've been better served having kept him on board. That's all I'm saying. Again, there are a lot of prospects that don't reach the majors until age 25.

 

We had such a great system in 2012 that he was ranked behind Wily and Johnny Hellweg as well as being one spot in front of Hunter Morris.

The Brewers' minor league system was widely considered amongst the league's bottom 5 back then - so being the 6th-rated prospect in a system headlined by Wily Peralta is tough to be considered highly regarded.

It was looking a bit soggy and not super difficult to penetrate.

The Brewers are funny. 3rd worst run differential in the NL .. but some cardiac offensive saves have us with a few wins above what it should be. Could steal another tonight that we really shouldn't have... We are giving ourselves a chance if we can sort things out. These early season wins (steals) will be awesome come later season.
