Time for Braun to use a shorter bat.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

We might as well go for the record now.

In our entire franchise history, we have only had 1 streak of 3 straight shutouts.

May 3 1972 0-7 L

May 5 1972 0-4 L

May 6 1972 0-2 L

We did have to face 2 HOFers in that stretch, Bert Blyleven and Nolan Ryan. All 3 games the opposing pitcher threw a shutout

We have had some brutal offenses over the last couple decades, too.

There's a serious problem that goes beyond personnel if you can't find a way to score runs with the 1-5 in this lineup. Yelich or no Yelich.

And that team won 65 games, so we are definitely going to win again! :)

Not just “at Night” anymore.

This will tick me off if we don’t pinch hit for Woodruff but he gets pulled sometime in the 4th.

Storm the Bastille!

It’s just so silly. Basically give up an out when you normally don’t even use all your bench in a game. Granted Yelich is hurt but we need to score runs.

Same as last night. Offense struggling to score runs, we get the leadoff man on and Counsell can't get out of his own way.

We have big bats on the bench for a reason. Use them!

35 pitches for a guy that's probably not totally stretched out. We will be lucky to get 4 innings.

They weren't that lucky :(

This was probably literally about our 3rd best starting pitching performance this year, so there's that.

Great at-bat, Arcia. That was stupid, anyway. So Hader comes in, potentially faces one batter, and then could come out with a PH if Arcia were to reach (yeah, right) or get walked? Stupid.

The Cubs not walking Arcia shows he's of no concern to them since he can't seem to lay-off anything outside and isn't hitting it to RF like he's been capable of in the past.

Villar off to a decent start but black holes at catcher and shortstop as well as having to bat a pitcher just sucks the life out of any lineup.
