Who's our Closer now?

The Brewers plan to share closing opportunities among a variety of players rather than declaring one single replacement.

I hate when teams do this!!

I'm sure it will be among Jeffress and Albers and maybe Hader if there's a bunch of lefties up in the 9th. Craig isn't going to go from having pretty rigid bullpen roles to just randomly putting guys in the 9th.

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Friday that Corey Knebel (hamstring) will be sidelined for "a minimum of six weeks."

For what it's worth, Knebel is aiming for a 4-6 week absence. Counsell revealed that he will use a host of relievers in the ninth inning while Knebel is sidelined, mentioning Jacob Barnes, Jeremy Jeffress, Matt Albers and Dan Jennings as possibilities. Josh Hader will remain in a multi-inning role.

So mid-August then?

I think about the SD game where we didn't have knebel available and we seemed to fit our arms available to the batting order. I have no issues with this due to Hader being untraditional and not having a knock out closer option.

If 9, 1--5 are up in the 7th 8th... let hader take them out and give anyone else 6-9 in the 9th.

My guess is barnes. I think they want to keep hader and jeffress for multiple inning work. Could be albers since he seems to be the 8th inning guy so far at least.

Harder and jefress for multuple innings...check

Albers in the 8th...check

I'm claiming victory. [sarcasm]what do I win?[/sarcasm]
