In the bottom of the seventh, LHP Brad Kuntz walked the bases loaded and departed with one out, bringing in Jon Olczak. The 24-year-old induced an inning-ending 5-4-3 double play, preserving the Shuckers lead. Olczak has now inherited 22 base runners this season without allowing one to score.

We learn David is listed at 6'3", 195. Specimen. Right-handed all the way.

David has been activated from the DSL's suspended list and played in Tuesday's game.

Just a day after being activated from Carolina's 7-day DL, catcher Nathan Rodriguez is placed on the team's Temp Inactive List.

 

SS Trever Morrison and OF Rob Henry get promotions to Carolina from Wisconsin, they are taking the roster spots of corner IF Wes Wilson and OF Joantgel Segovia, each hitting the 7-day DL.

 

Wilson in particular had been red-hot. Despite losing three in a row, the Mudcats are just 2.5 games out of qualifying for the postseason. Wilson's loss will sting.

Non-drafted Florida International infielder Eddie Silva, 22, who crushed Helena to the tune of a .361/.410/.556 line in 72 AB's, joins Wisconsin.

Per Brewers' PD, Jacob Nottingham to the Sky Sox DL, C Dustin Houle transferred to Colorado Springs from Carolina, and perhaps most intriguingly, SS Brice Turang has been promoted from the AZL to Helena.

 

Imagine C Nate Rodriguez will be activated from Carolina's Temp Inactive List to backfill Houle's spot.

 

Good move with Carmona gone & give them two good prospects there with Turang & Coco. I really like Jesse Williams so far & Howell is intriguing down on Arizona. He wasn’t Lutz or Tyrone Taylor Arizona dominant but this helps put him in play for Wisconsin next year.

 

We really could use those 4 to step up at SS to strength our depth in system there with Dubon. Aviles tends to have stretches that really impress before he drops back off

RHP Alexis Ramirez transferred from the DSL co-op squad to the DSL main squad, basically backfilling for the departed Wilber Perez.

Catcher Robie Rojas was activated Wednesday from the 7-day Sky Sox DL.
