With the signing of Alescio, the AZL roster is at capacity. Any further draft/UDFA signees (Bryce Turang or Christian Meister, for instance) will either have to go straight to Helena, force someone to be promoted from the AZL to Helena, or simply by placed on the AZL "Restricted List" and basically just be unactivated.

The DSL roster is also at capacity. The Helena roster has 6 available slots left.

Minor league FA RHP Christian Meister, mentioned above, has been assigned to the AZL roster but is not yet activated.

Check that, Meister assigned to Colorado Springs. Slightly different than Maryvale.

I'm kind of excited to see what this guy can do. If he really can crank it up to triple digits, we could be on to something here. I wonder if he's being looked at as strictly a reliever?

Original post June 11th --

The Brewers have added three more Latin players to their DSL roster, though all three have been placed on the restricted list as they wait to be activated:

RHP Deybi Arias, born 5/27/01;

OF Starling Javier, born 12/17/00; and,

RHP Wellington Nunez, born 10/17/99.

We'll link to their milb.com pages once they're up.

All three have now debuted on the island, with Arias the most recent on Tuesday 7/3.

We learn Arias is listed at 6'1", 155.

As mentioned in the International Signings thread in the MLB Draft forum, RHP Abner Uribe was signed to a 2018 contract and placed on the DSL's Restricted List, so he wasn't a traditional July 2nd signing. Uribe could play yet this year. He was born on 6/20/00.

The Brewers have also signed RHP Jose Espiritu and assigned him to the DSL's Restricted List. Espiritu is eligible to play this year as well and was born on 11/20/98.

Brewers signing RHP Yostin Villalobos, most likely for the next signing period. Here he is with Brewers scout Reinaldo Hidalgo.

Undrafted FA RHPs Tate Budnick and Tyler Tungate have been promoted from the AZL to Helena. Helena now has 3 open slots on its 35-man roster.

The AZL club has one open slot on its own 35-man roster after last night's activation of Korry Howell. Draft picks Brice Turang, Reece Olson, and Wade Beasley all still need to be activated. Jolon Lun could still be activated as well.

Taking their spots on the DSL Brewers are recent RHP signings Luis L. Ortiz and Abner Uribe.

Four days after adding him to the DSL roster, the Brewers have released this Luis Ortiz.

Taking his place on the DSL roster, yet another RHP/Ortiz, 16-year-old Robert Ortiz. He's been activated from the team's Restricted List.

Another 16-year-old, C Eduin Lugo, was activated off of the Restricted List for the DSL co-op team.
