My only judgement is that they haven't been very good so far.

Yeah not disagreeing with that but I want to see these guys make 4-5 starts and then make adjustments accordingly if need be.

Not unreasonable. Hopefully that doesn't bury them by then.

If last years early season rotation didn’t bury them, I’m good with their plan. They didn’t really start to turn it on til June. It’s a long season.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

People who find Villar frustrating at the plate must have never seen Arcia bat. Come on Arcia....

Arcia being 23 years old helps me with it but yes, he flails away quite a bit still.

Games wouldn't be as long without God Bless America.

I don't have a problem with it, but it seems kind of funny because, didn't it just start post 9-11 during a time of ultra patriotism and unity?

Now it just seems like nobody wants to be that guy to do away with it, lol.

Only in his second full season, but even then I think it is apart of who he is. He really is good at putting together terrible ABs...strikeouts and not working counts.

If they'd just skip it, only like 4 people would even notice.

Sogard seems like the one guy Counsell just had to have back and Stearns just kind of let him have that one.

I wish someone had just told him "He's going to be replacement level Craig, we can do better."

I really just hate having to stand up again and show my horrible hat hair.

I agree regarding its pointlessness, but eliminating a song that take about 1:30 to sing during the commercial break isn't going to significantly speed the game up.

I only brought it up because Manfred seems intent on trying to make games 2 hours (might be a slight exaggeration) and that's an obvious time saver. Granted it's typically only on Sundays but when you consider there are 15 games every Sunday and a chance to cut 1 to 2 minutes off the game time with something that has nothing to do with the actual game, you'd figure it would be an obvious decision to get rid of it.

I will never understand that signing...and really never considering the time of the off season it happened.

You don’t win giving up 8 runs very often. This looks to be one of those days.

Yep. Davies has to be better. If he continues to start off as slow as he usually does, we won't win many of his starts in April.

Woodruff wasn't bad besides one pitch, but unfortunately that one pitch cost 3 runs and that kind of did it.
