Chacin was such a silly signing.

 

Well if he isn't a sub-4.00 ERA guy that isn't a big deal at his price. That could be totally acceptable. The problem is we signed him to be our #3 on a competing team. We need last year results or that signing is going to be bad because our rotation is likely going to be quite miserable if our planned #3 is more like #4/#5

 

 

He was so good at Petco park last year....only 3 runs given up so far, but he is getting hit hard. Was until last inning at least.

True, but it wouldn't be Villar's first. I would guess his first career Brewer brain fart did not generate pages of rage

Just the first game for him this year so not a huge deal, but he is one of those guys we dearly need to perform.

He is a ground ball pitcher which is a plus for Miller Park. He will be a 3.9 ish ERA guy which should be fine for our offense to cover.

That may well be true but the game thread is about the game and he hasn't been good tonight.

I'll agree, chacin had not looked good. Also need to remember this is his first start with a new team and playing his old team. Probably a lot more nerves than usual making this game more likely an outlier.

The bolded is neither dramatic or sweeping. Saying something is "like" something is far from definitive. It's logical that a person drawing conclusions from tiny samples is mathematically destined to be made a fool.

 

Don't worry, I'm checking out of this cesspool. Yeesh.
