Take that Reactionary Debbie Downers!

Ya, take that fans that aren't like "oh well we lost its ok" and react to someone blowing a game and are emotionally invested! How dare you point out a negative when there is a blown save or bad play.

It’s a joke, don’t take it to heart.

Jacob Barnes is a big positive regression candidate. Is there a word for that? "Regression" doesn't feel like the right term.

It is. Regression to the mean. I'm right with you there. Not really expecting Knebel to have a great year, but guys like Barnes often emerge and have a great year. It's the nature of the beast with relievers. I believe he's the next Turnbow/Axford/Jeffress/Knebel breakthough candidate.

The Brewers bullpen was the story today, despite the blown save. Rock solid options all the way through. That's going to pay big dividends this year.

Regression is the correct word, you regress towards the mean, so, if you were unlucky you can get luckier.. Like Barnes might.

It's rarely used in that context however

Braun looked pretty darn good at 1B to me. Compared to how everyone was fretting and the media making it a huge deal he looked like eric hosmer out there.

(Yes, im fully aware he will probably have a huge blunder soon, but Domingo already had a brain fart so we're sitting pretty at first)

Per Adam McCalvy:

Orlando Arcia on Chase Anderson's slide: "I think he wanted to touch home plate with his nose."

Love it.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Oh god, Barnes

[sarcasm]Yep, should have cut him[/sarcasm]

Way to wait and say this after he struck out the side.

Been saying it since he was in AA. He's nowhere near as bad as some on this board would have you believe. 3.88 FIP last year - not bad at all.

Just glad to have Brewers baseball back!

Long off season, but here we are, at the beginning of yet another season!
