With a single & bomb last night Schoop raised his OPS+ from 32 to 52.

Schoop gets hot in September, that is a huge bonus.

Fun with arbitrary end points:

In Schoop's last 10 games. he's hitting .304/.360/.609. (155 wRC+)

If the OBP continues the rest of the way that will be huge. (obviously the slugging is way spike because of the 2 bombs in a 25 PA sample)

If he'd have done that in his first 10 games instead of what he actually did then people would have an entirely different opinion of him even if he followed it up poorly (basically reversing the order of games). First impressions/judgments stick with people

No...I don’t think the order of his streaks are going to make it any better when he is OPS+ing Arcia levels.

Of course we don't know but just saying my opinion is that if he started out hot he'd be given a lot of slack afterwards since we've seen the good. Think of Thames as an example last year. Just guessing of course so no big deal. Either way, hope the hot streak comes now when we need it most.

100% agree with the first impression thing...

Schoop is here for the Cubs and the lefty starters. I will reserve judgement until he faces the Cubs starters in Sept (and Oct?).

He had one of the best OPS in baseball last season against lefties, and I like the idea of him facing not terribly overpowering lefties. For sanity purposes, I say his best is yet to come.

Schoop is pretty bad this year vs LHP (.677 OPS, .294 wOBA, 82 wRC+) and for his career (.701 career OPS vs LHP).

I am 3 and 0 in games this year therefore for the sake of the Brewers, I should go to the remaining games.

man, i have a horrible record. 4-9 i think

I have tickets to 4 more games. They're going to go 4-0 in those though.

How the heck did this get to page 2?!!

Stearns solidifying our pitching and going to win the WS!

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

6-1 this year! 3-0 in San Diego, 2-0 in San Francisco, 1-0 in Miller Park South and 0-1 in Milwaukee. General consensus...send me to road games in the playoffs! ;)
