Two episodes into Squid Game. Loving it. Like a lot of South Korean stuff there are some definite class/cultural themes in there.

Any Survivor or Big Brother fans in here?

My wife and I have been watching both since season one.

Definitely guilty pleasures...

I got in on a work pool, so I’m watching Survivor for the first time in years. The game has really changed with its advantages and hidden idols. I’m not sure I even understand how it fully works. Also, all the contestants are awful (at least the ones featured prominently in recent episodes). One gal is a pastor and she’s been the most manipulative player.

Yellowstone season premiere did not disappoint!

I expected more grief and woe in biblical proportion from Rip, but I think that is still on the horizon...

Turbo - are you still watching Survivor?

I’ve gotten back into it for the first time in years. Someone organized a pool at work, which has helped keep our team engaged now that most people work remote a majority of the time.

I can’t stand Shan. Xander all the way!

I can't stand her either, for a pastor, if that is really what she is, she is too shifty. I have been disappointed in her behavior all season.

I also can't stand Ricard and Evvie. Ricard is a snake, a selfish egotistical jerk. I will be celebrating when they finally kick his butt out!!!

Xander has good moments, but I also find him irritating.

I don't really have someone I am rooting for just yet, but I do like Danny and Deshawn.

RE: Survivor

I randomly drew Genie and Sydney in the pool, so I’m out already. :ohwell

I initially was rooting for Danny and Deshawn, but after they made an alliance with Liana and Shan (yes, the pastor is the villain), I soured on them. We’ll see how that plays out. It will be boring if they ride that pact to the end.

I wasn’t crazy about Xander at first, but he’s been good at the challenges and has played a fair game. Evvie too. I loved the fake idol move they pulled on Liana last week.

If anyone has Britbox - really, really recommend Shetland. Great murder mystery show.

Britbox and Acorn have a lot of good mysteries. The longer form than most US procedurals really adds something.

My wife have really liked Britbox. She loves 'cozy' mysteries. Poirot, Father Brown, Death in Paradise, etc. - perfect 'fun' murder stories.

Anyone else been watching Yellowjackets on ShowTime? I really enjoyed the first two episodes.

Its kind of like Alive, but with a high school girls soccer team instead. Some definite Lord of the Flies & True Detective season one influences going on too.

Also does a nice job jumping back & forth between 1996 (when the plane crashed) & 2021 (catching up with the survivors) timelines.

I know a lot of people have stopped watching "Walking Dead," but this last season has been excellent and engaging...

I have always enjoyed it, and have watched since season one debuted, so I may not be a good judge, but I love the series, and so far, it is going out an a great note!

I watch the spin-offs too, but don't like them as much as the original...

I stopped watching around...season 4 or 5ish when one of the main characters was killed off by the dude with the baseball bat. It seemed like it started to run its course for me, but I could see the appeal. The wife kept watching it and I bought her 3 huge Walking Dead comics for Christmas one year. Pretty sure she has never opened them up. ha.

That's about when I stopped. A never ending cycle of finding a new community, battling with neighboring communities. Rinse, repeat.

Big Sky wrapped up season 1 last night, its very good. But i did learn that Kelley is not producing season 2, so thats not a good sign.

My wife and I watched OUR final episode of Big Sky this week.

It was interesting when it started, but every episode this season has lead me to wonder why I'm still tuning in.

The last episode was the deal breaker.

Bye bye BIG SKY.
