I'm sick and tired of the general attitude surrounding MJ getting a pass with athletes. These human beings make MILLIONS and MILLIONS of dollars a year, put the blunt out and follow the rules and when you retire you can smoke as much as you want. "Progressive" my behind, MJ can cause health problems just like smoking can. There's simply no excuse for it.

If anyone could use a hit, it’s you, man. Lol

Aaron Jones... you are dumb!! I think Jones is the best of the Packs RB's. Oh well. See you in week 3. There is enough depth there today with Williams and Monty.

Now correct me if I'm wrong. But doesn't this have to be Jones's second failed drug test? I believe the first one gets you in the drug program but is just a warning. The second failed test leads to suspension. I don't understand players and the weed. Once your very short playing career is over you can smoke yourself silly. Until that time, follow the rules.

No, this is punishment for the incident last year, not his 2nd.

And yet, players can smoke if they so choose or consume alcohol. Baaaaaaaad example. :laughing

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

And they can be prescribed pain killers which they can easily become addicted to. Why a natural plant is illegal I will never understand.

Nah i'm good. I will lose enough brain cells with age, don't need to push it along faster.

For the record I am libertarian and really could give a rip what folks do with their body, it's just the whole concept of employers having rules and the employee is too dumb to follow them that pisses me off.

Training camp less than 2 weeks away. I am more excited this year than I have been in a while. Packers made some nice pickups this year and hopefully that results in a vastly improved D. Biggest concern is pass rush.

Confident that the offense will be strong as always but they really need to hope an Allison or one of the other younger WR's step up and be a big contributor. Graham, Adams, and Cobb can only do so much.

The Bears aren't close because they stink. They go 12-4 and Minnesota busts, you will hate the Bears again.

Respectfully disagree. Shea McClellin once broke Aaron Rodgers’ collarbone and enterprising Bears fans did not sell canvas photo art of McClellin standing over an injured Rodgers.

Since we’re still in the NFL dead zone for another week or two, which other NFL teams do you ‘sports hate?’ For me, it’s

1) Vikings

2) Cowboys

3) Seahawks

No other team is close, not even the Bears.

1. Vikings

2. Vikings

3. Vikings

4. Patriots

5. Cowboys

6. Bears

1) Panthers (mostly because I can't stop drafting Cam Newton on my fantasy teams)

2) Seahawk bandwagon fans

3) Vikings

4) Patriots

5) Cardinals (Because they share a name with a St. Louis team)

6) Packers and their horrible music selection

That wagon is getting pretty small...not going to be a good year for the 12th man, IMO

I'm excited to see what a different defensive coordinator can bring to the table with what appears to be alot more speed across the Packer secondary and linebacker group. Also very intrigued by the heap of new skill position players (vet and rookie) Rodgers has to work with.

It always comes down to Rodgers - if he's healthy this Packer team may be improved enough on defense to have a shot at winning it all. If not, they'll be drafting in the top 10 and we'll all be mad about not having star-caliber players at other positions, again.

If Rodgers is healthy, this is a playoff team. If not, they are a 4-5 win team. He makes that much of a difference.

Besides cheering for the Packers this year, we also get the added bonus of cheering for whoever is playing the Saints this year. They are one Brees injury from being a 4-win team, and that 1st round draft pick could be a Top 10 one as well. I would never cheer for an injury, but Brees is pretty dang old now, and the law of averages eventually catches up with those guys.

I was surprised to see that Michael Clark retired.

Yes, I'm very frustrated by this. I had irrationally high hopes for him. Just someone that I thought would blossom into an Antonia Gates-lite type of player.

It's strange that people are pointing to Burks as the replacement for Ryan. Ryan is almost exclusively a run down player, Burks would almost certainly be playing pass down snaps like Joe Thomas did previously...I don't think the Ryan injury as particularly damaging because of the nature of the game today; but I don't think Burks is his replacement.

Yea, it sucks for him but little need for a run stuffing LB anymore. Short yardage and goal line is about it and they can use their FB for that, seriously.
