You expressed in a different forum that you were out to have some fun and rile people up. To the extent of throwing anything and everything out there to see what kind of crazy responses you'd get. How long do you intend to keep this up? Second question, why?

I was gonna post something about a troll before I got my hand slapped.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Need to produce runs to win. Santana does that.

Well aware. But where do you stack yelich cain v santaba broxton.

1 of 2 things is haapening.

Braun 1b... aguilar flipped for a ticket... sign an arm

Or

Santana for an arm... broxton for a ticket... walker???

The offense isn't worse in either scenerio. Yelich cain > santana broxton

Maybe we're trading Shaw and clancy will finally get his wish of Braun playing 3rd base again.

Dude can you please stop? Go punch a pillow or something please.

He's trolling for that reaction, just ignore it.

I hope deal is front loaded as much as possible. They have ton of room right now but won't soon enough.

You can afford to give him

20 million year one

18 million year two

16 million year three

14 million year four

12 million year five

I'd like that much better than a flat of 16 million or back loaded where it will be tough to move or eat contract latter on.

My thought exactly given how low the current payroll is.

Honestly I may just troll them for the rest of the night with **** even I don't believe just because it would be enjoyable for me.

My God, you guys have no idea how much I'm rooting for a 75 win season so I can read all the "derp what happened?" on bf.net.

This was you yesterday on a different forum. Have you had gotten your fill yet?

So he's admitted to being a troll. Sounds ban-able to me.

Oh I'm sorry. Should I have put post #101 in blue or added a winking emoji at the end of it? I thought it was obvious enough that I didn't need to because it's been a running joke on here for years that clancy always wants to move Braun back to 3rd base that it didn't need it. Sorry to have upset those of you with such delicate sensibilities.

Gosh I wish Braun would move to 1B...

This looks even better:

Braun 1B

Yelich LF

Cain CF

Santana/Phillips RF

It's all about maximizing value though, even if in a vacuum Santana is a better long-term asset than Braun.

I think Braun/Phillips in OF, Thames/Aguilar at 1B, and a SP trade return for Santana gives us the most value.

Edit: And it's not just losing the pick, it's also losing the associated bonus money as well.

How much does that really matter in the 70s? I feel like teams are not going way under slot in that range.

Last year slot was almost $800,000 for pick 73. So it matters quite a bit.

You'd use that slot money on the player drafted with the 73rd pick, which we no longer have, unless we drafted someone at 73 who took significantly less money for being picked there.

It's not like the Brewers would have passed on picking someone at 73 to use the 800 grand elsewhere.

Back to Cain... Here's a look at what MLBTR had predicted for him going into the offseason in their top 50 MLB FA predictions:

7. Lorenzo Cain – Giants. Four years, $70MM. Yet another Royals free agent, Cain adds value with his hitting, baserunning, and glove as a center fielder. He’s a speedy, well-rounded player who was worth more than four wins above replacement this year. Dexter Fowler’s five-year, $82.5MM deal with the Cardinals will be a likely model, though Cain is a year older than Fowler was. Cain is the only plus defensive center fielder on the market who also carries an above-average bat, which should create plenty of demand. If the Royals don’t retain him, the Giants, Mariners, Blue Jays, and Rangers could be matches. The Royals have reportedly yet to decide on a qualifying offer for Cain, but it’d be a big surprise if he doesn’t get one.

Not far off, basically added a 5th year at $10M and very close to the Dexter Fowler deal.

If you are looking to get banned we can accommodate.
