Masataka Yoshida

Played with the Orix Buffaloes on the Japan Pacific League.

He's 23, has kind of a "Troy Stokes" build. Draws walks more often than he struck out in 2017, and had a .891 OPS the last two years.

Orix seems to need some pitching. Could the Brewers put together some kind of package to help Orix with pitching and maybe get Yoshida playing for the Crew?

Clancy no team is ever going to trade players to a foreign league without that player’s consent and good luck with that. These players are human beings with lives and typically families. You can’t just treat them like garbage and ship them off to a different continent...that is terrible. If a GM did this they would be absolutely crucified. This is such a terrible idea and I don’t think it is even possible anyway.

This is not even possible. The Brewers can release players and allow them to go to Japan but they can not be traded to a Japanese league team.

Also this player would have to be posted first before the Brewers could bid on him. Basically the player has to be either posted or a free agent and they can not be traded to a MLB team.
