#1 Well the best way is to have a connection.

#2 Go to Harvard or a similar school

#3 One heck of a resume

#4 Realistically they do post most jobs to the public...even pretty major ones. I will try and put the link in here, but a quick google search pulls it up. I have seen pretty major analytic job postings before.

My son worked in the ticket office a few years ago. He considered it temporary while going through college, but many people there were trying to stick long term. In fact, just asked him about it the other day and two people he worked with are still there, moved up to group sales. My guess is if they hang around something could pop up in marketing, promotions, etc.

But it's timing, luck, who you know. And maybe doing a job function you may not love while holding out hope for another position. Key is how long you're willing to hang around, because people do leave.

If you want to try to get in on the sports side of any team, it may not hurt to be willing to work for free and then try to work up to peanuts. If you’re really bright and shine, it’s a way to show your dedication and then thrive in whatever role to get noticed. You can start with videos, setting things up, etc. I have heard John Hammond mention this with the Bucks and it also is true with football jobs.

Also, keep in mind you could work on the food service side as a supervisor, manager, etc. While technically not working for the Brewers, you would be working at Miller Park. Plus, it would give you the opportunity to meet people within the Brewers and gain connections that way.

Like other posters said, the two things that came to mind were intern/work for free or ticket sales. Depending on what you are looking to do long term. I think ticket sales is always the way to get your foot in the door and maybe you could offer to do other jobs as well. If you want it more than the people around you, you'll figure out a way. Good luck and keep us posted.
