Danny Salazar

Please, stop the Mejia inclusion for trades. He is more valuable than Brinson. Can you try this and realistically see a GM parting with their #1 prospect ranked as highly as Brinson/Mejia are? Santans plus Aguilar for Salazar and Brinson. I mean if you're the other side and Stearns made this trade for Santan and Aguilar? Are you glad he used the team's #1 prospect for this? Mejia was in the midsts of his epic hitting streak when the Lucroy trade didnt happen. At that point Mejia's value jumped and with being a hitting Catcher he's an off limits prospect...aside the that Sale/Kershaw type of Ace acquisition.

I'd love to see Santana move to #3 in batting order and bat every bit like last year and be graced as a 4War value player vs the under 2 hes saddled at for now. Hes going to be just 25, his prime years ahead of him.

Thanks, Lucroy...

Danny Salazar "experienced an onset of right shoulder rotator cuff inflammation in mid-January," per a press release from the Indians.

Salazar has resumed throwing and is "progressing well," according to the same media update, but the 28-year-old right-hander is also "a couple weeks behind" the other pitchers in Indians camp this spring. It's possible this could affect his readiness for the beginning of the 2018 regular season. Salazar battled elbow and shoulder problems in 2017 and finished with a disappointing 4.28 ERA and 1.34 WHIP, though he did strike out 145 batters in 103 innings.

It seems like this this is the kind of stuff we would see with this guy on a constant basis...

Seems like this may have been a reason why the rumored Santana-Salazar deal was never completed. If I am the Brewers, I am not dealing Santana for possibly damaged goods when there are other options out there and available.

Couldn't agree more, I'd slam on the brakes hard on Salazar at this point. I might consider Santana for him plus some significant value...but he loses a lot of value for me with the injury.

Salazar should be completely off the Brewers radar. He will spend more time in the training table than on the mound.
