Boone Logan - $2.5M guaranteed

Not too concerned about this. What a terrible draft that really was.

Drake is going to make the roster, isn't he?

Yep.

So when are we signing Tim Tebow :-)

Never thought I would miss having Wang.

Drakes bad. He’s not Wang bad. But they are both turds that don’t belong in a Brewers uniform. Always amazed at some of these guys that hang on rosters.

Someone brought up Nick Ramirez the other day. With the crap we've thrown out the last couple years to try to retire lefties, it's hard to understand what more he needs to do for at least a shot.

Well I am guessing they just don’t think he is actually an MLB pitcher. His stats are crazy ridiculous, except his K/9. Brewers obviously don’t think it is going to translate or every other team in baseball that had a chance to nab him this winter.

He'll get a shot this season, just a matter of when.

If Drake is going to make this roster they need to be having a conversation about his usage. He should only face lefties unless the game is an absolute blowout and he's just eating up innings.

Counsell far too often rolled the dice with Drake against righties last year and usually paid for it.

Is anyone concerned about forcing open a bullpen spot for Logan?

I mean, this is a way different situation than Knebel. Logan is basically a LOOGY only. I can't really justify sending anyone down for him besides maybe Suter, without it being totally counterproductive. We already have Jennings, Hader, and Suter. Not really needing a 4th lefty in this pen, right? The more I think about it I think it's got to be Suter going down.

I don't know if I am too concerned because it only pads the depth of this pen just that much more. Suter is a definite candidate to go down as well as possibly Williams. Do I want to see Williams? No. But with options, it is always a possibility. And with the length that Jennings, Hader, Jeffress give you, having a true "loogy" might be a better option than Suter.

This is why I was concerned about forcing open a spot for Logan. We made our pen worse by doing so. We already had plenty of lefties.

Logan needs a very short leash and one more outing like today and he's got to go. Literally the only reason he was signed was to get lefties out. He is worthless to us if he can't do that.

Well drake was a roogy who we used as a normal rp. Logan is a loogy who we use as a typical rp. We need to stop adding specialists and not using them in their role. Just bring back barnes and be done with it.

You should probably check out Boone’s stats vs LH batters

Logan isn't getting LHB out at all.
