Thames to NYY? (speculation)

Not to the Yankees, but just watching MLB network and Dombrowski was talking about how he’s looking for a slugging 1b who can also DH. Thames would do well at Fenway. In return I’d ask for Eduardo Rodriguez. I know he had surgery this offseason but it was on his knee. He put up 1.7 WAR last year and a FA in 2022. He’s currently #6 on Boston’s depth chart. We can always find a platoon mate with Jesus in FA for the time being. Would give us a good lefty starter for 4 years which we haven’t had in a long time.
