Milwaukee Bucks 2017 - 2018

Outlander

Watching this team play defensively is depressing and on offense the lack of team play is another annoyance. Taking turns going one on one is not good basketball.

There are some nice pieces that are begging for coaching. But, I would not be averse to moving a nice player like Middleton if you can get a Hassan Whiteside. He’s not happy in Miami and the feeling may be mutual. You could have Bledsoe and Brogdon as your back court. Parker and Giannis at forward. Bledsoe gives the team needed quickness and Brogdon has size and glue value. Put a good coach with that, and the team has the potential to win 6-10 more games and, more importantly, be a credible team instead of the underachieving, clueless bunch that we see.

Have heard the Bucks have strong interest in the now fired Hornacek as head coach and the feeling is mutual from Hornacek.

Not surprising really after Lasry retweeted the tweet that Hornacek was fired. Still not the best coach for the Bucks.

Of course we would...the Bucks MO our entire existence is to take on some retread that's a failure. Can we just bring Terry Porter back? Hell, what about Larry Krystkowiak? Larry Drew?

This is NOT a knock on Hornacek because i'm sure he's a very nice man and I enjoyed watching him play way back in the day, but is THIS really what we want? IT'S THE SAME THING WE'VE DEALT WITH UNDER KIDD AND PRUNTY. Paging Marc Lasry and Wes Edens, you're idiots if you make this hire.

Knicks president Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry cited issues with player accountability and on-court consistency as two reasons why they fired head coach Jeff Hornacek.

Fizdale is lauded by guys like D-Wade for his incredible work ethic and managing players. On paper this is the guy we should drag into the office and not let him leave, but I wouldn't mind Monty Williams either.

Here's another one since we've discussed Sam Cassell....how about Kevin Garnett? The players likely already know him and if there was ever a guy that demands accountability its that man.

I want no part of any coach that believes Maker will be the NBA MVP one day.

I want Nick Nurse, he helped redesign Toronto's offense, and got DeRozan to buy into changing his game for the better.

Also, the Bucks are so clueless. How Alexander Lasry still represents the team on twitter baffles me.

I like how he throws the jersey, colors, and logo in there like it somehow helps the team win a championship or something.

I like how he's available via social media, but he has not represented himself well lately. I think a couple weeks back he lashed out at someone about bringing up the topic of what coaches they will be interviewing in the offseason, saying they had no list and that Prunty is the head coach, not interim head coach. The list he sent out is garbage. I'm thankful they kept the Bucks in Milwaukee, but they have a long ways to go to show any improvement of being actual good owners.

Not sure I'd be bragging about drafting Thon.

I don't get how this would be a bad thing? Maker could become the NBA MVP one day but he has a lot of work he has to do to get to that point. Believing a player can or could succeed is something you would want in a head coach. In the right system and with the right coaching Maker could become a very special player. Maker has a lot of work to do but he has all of the skills to become a great player the only question is will we ever see it come true.

Watching Maker play he still has tons of talent but what I think he needs to get to the next level is the desire to figuratively punch guys in the chin. He doesn't demand the rebound and more just hopes it bounces to him. On offense he's a guy who is pretty good at putting the ball on the floor, yet he rarely drives to the basket and could do so more often. I also don't want to waive off players as bad until there's a real coach in here who knows how to design an offense. Anyone not doing well on the Bucks right now only means they're not good as iso ball.

I keep hoping Milwaukee would be able to send somebody like Middleton+ for Cleveland's pick (assuming they keep LeBron) to get Mohamed Bamba, but of course that won't happen.

Bucks also got out-rebounded by anyone who just made the slightest effort to get an offensive rebound. Really frustrating to see them play good defense and get the Celtics to take a shot-expiring heave only to give up the offensive rebound.

Sorry guys. This team cannot beat the Celtics when Celtics we’re down 3 starters and two of their three best players. This team, as composed, is trash. If they don’t figure it out SOON, Giannis is gone. Giannis is awesome. He will be gone soon if they can’t find a GM and a coach with a clue, and not have trash players to put around him. Back to the days of Lee Mayberry and Greg Cadillac Anderson.

Middleton played extremely well today and if it wasn't for the turnovers they would have won this game.

They do need to get some more scoring out of Snell but it looks like he has no confidence in his shot right now. Brogdon looks like he is just about ready to be back where he was last year. Bledsoe needs to play better than he did today. The Bucks need another scorer besides Middleton to play with Giannis. I don't think Parker is that player and I don't think Bledsoe is either.

The Bucks need someone who can shoot the three accurately and right now Brogdon and Middleton are the best options.

I can't understand how Snell continues to get important minutes in meaningful games.

Because he is really the only 3-pt threat the Bucks have.

When he's objectively and subjectively bad at literally everything else that you can do on a basketball court, that's not good enough of a reason to have him on the floor for 33 minutes.

Snell is a 3-and-D guy on a team that doesn't really run designed 3-point plays. He played great defense today. Plus he's the rare player who is perfectly happy playing off-ball. Snell is the sort of player who is good despite looking terrible on paper.

Jabari is more the opposite. All those times he stood in the lane not even guarding anybody don't show up on the stat sheet.
