A Loewen countdown?

Well, if they did sign him, at least we can't blame the Brewers. They never had the chance to take him, 2 years in a row.

 

I'll still be happy with Weeks or Young, even if my heart was set on Loewen.

I just have this sick feeling in my stomach that Stauffer will be announced as the Brewers' pick on draft day.

 

And that neither Eveland or Mannon signed.

Yeah, as a Tigers fan I could see why you feel like you got screwed. With Loewen, there were 3 solid candidates for the top 3 picks in the draft. Now, there are only 2, and I strongly doubt Weeks & Young slide past the D-Rays & Brewers.

 

How about Ryan Harvey? He might be a nice consolation prize.

True. I was really hoping that Milwaukee would draft Loewen and the Tigers could get Young or Weeks. This team is a miserable offensive team esp. with RISP. I only really want to see Young or Higginson at the plate in the clutch

 

Harvey would be fine but, I have a feeling it will be Sleeth/Stauffer now. We have a bad track record with pitchers so I was really hoping we would focus on an offensive player. We could use a pitcher though too. I really wish Adam Bernero would leave the rotation; the rest have been impressive for being so young.

 

I think that the Orioles just messed up a lot of team's drafts.

If there is some small consolation, they don't get an extra pick anymore, meaning we move up a spot. I guess that's worth it. That and we have Jeff Housman, dang it. He has become the new Loewen.

I'm searching all Oriole related sites and message boards, and have found zilch. I think that this is just someone trying to scoop everyone else by just taking a shot in the dark without any real info.

 

I will keep looking, though.....
