Pablo Sandoval's walk-off HR has the wrong effect.

There isn't much worse than wrapping up a near 100 loss season. The Giants entered day 162 ready to plan the #1 pick of the 2018 MLB Draft. Right up until Pablo Sandoval of all people came to the rescue walking off for a Giants win to avoid loss 99. Unfortunately the win wasn't exactly ending on a high note because the win caused the Giants to climb up the standings. Instead of the #1 pick they will now pick #2 behind the Tigers.

The real interesting thing is who would have guessed the Tigers and Giants would have the 2 worst records in baseball this year?

Does there figure to be a Stephen Strasburg or Bryce Harper talent in the 2018 draft? I'm not sure if there was really that big of a difference in talent between the #1 pick and the #5 pick in the 2017 draft. The biggest negative impact for the Giants could be the loss of the additional bonus pool money that comes with the first pick instead of the difference in quality between the #1 player and the #2 player.
