They missed Jimmy big time. Guerra wouldn't have pitched today with a short stint and the bullpen imploding.

Still, disappointing as today has been, this team exceeded expectations and for the most part did pretty well for themselves.

Opponent wins in what ends up being their final at-bat vs our bullpen. Story of our season.

Our bullpen has been pretty darn good this season. The bullpen was the least of our problems this year. IMO it was the lack of getting key hits with RISP and thus not being able to add on runs later in the games.

'They had a great season"

"They have something to build on for next year"

"They did better than anyone expected."

All the things the losers say. This game was a microcosm of the whole second half=A big choke job. Business as usual for Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Brewers will still be in second place ahead of the Cardinals even if they lose again tomorrow.

That is something to be proud of for the Crew.

The Cards can celebrate all they want today but that is still a fact. The Crew are a better team than they are.

[sarcasm]Should we hang that banner out in left at Miller Park?[/sarcasm]

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

But any time we have a better record than those creeps it is cause for celebration.

CC would have probably had Chase on short rest for Monday.

On 2 days rest? I think it would have been Woodruff or Suter.

At least we don't have to worry about a "2017 Wild Card" banner in left field had they made it to the Wild Card game and lost

Yup, that's my optimism working overtime.

It was good the second half of the season. It was atrocious the first half. Don't know what happened during the All Star Break where both the offense and the pitching did an absolute 180.

It makes you wonder what would have happened if Josh Hader had been in this pen all year.

I know Hader is a little bit of a different case because they wanted him to start, but still.
