Counsel used to be so much better at staggering his lefties. Every manager in the world is already set on using their best lefty(in this case second best because Rivero is closer) against the top of the order in the 6th-8th inning. Why not let Perez bat 2nd and have Thames bat 6th with Pina 5th? At least at this point in the season we can counter like crazy with Aguilar, Braun, Villar, etc if they throw up a lefty.

Not really an issue with the expanded rosters. When Sogard is up and they bring in the lefty, Aguilar pinch hits and then Villar goes in for Villar or Aguilar goes to 1b and Walker goes to 2b.

I really thought that was strike 3 to Walker; Hurdle has a right to be upset at that one. Can we take another look?!

Yep, that is a terrible call by the home plate umpire. I'd be pretty upset if that happened to the Brewers, especially if it leads to a run.

Dont steal 3rd with a lefty hitting. Idiots! If you are going to do that then let Villar play

There was nothing wrong with him trying to steal 3rd there, especially with 1 out and Glasnow totally ignoring him. If he just runs he takes 3rd standing up. The problem was him trying to take it like a hesitant timid 6th grader playing little league ball.

Well, there's an inning that not only tied it up but could pay dividends going forward.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

If you can ever make the next base standing up then you should always go. In general, if you are going to steal 3rd on a close play don't go with a lefty batting. When he hesitated he should have gone back. He should have know a hesitation + lefty batter = do not go. Where is all of that veteran grit when we need it
